Super Cheap Cheerios!! 25¢ per box!

I was at Albertsons this afternoon and saw this:

You don't have to buy 10. Just one will ring up $1.

So then I came home and found this:

Obviously this is in Spanish. It says .75 off 1 box of Multi-Grain Cheerios or Multi-Grain Cheerios Peanut Butter (which are the ones on sale)

So, you can get one box of Peanut Butter Multi-Grain Cheerios for only 25 cents!

These boxes of cereal are a close out price, so get them while you can. Even without the coupon, it is a great price. I don't like the flavored Cheerios, but I love the Golden Crisp!

App Recap

In a recent "girls night" I got together with some friends to talk about some of our favorite money making apps. It was a lot of fun and very enlightening. In fact, we plan on doing it again sometime, although we will probably open it up to the males, too :)

Here is my best write up of what we talked about, as I understood it. If any of my information is wrong or unclear, please correct me!

First, the ones that were new to me:

CrowdTap

By signing up with Crowdtap, you’ll be presented with a variety of surveys, ranging from 1 question to multiple qustions. These surveys and feedback are used to help brands make major marketing decisions.For your time and input you can Get rewarded with gift cards (Amazon), product samples and more. 
Our friend, Talia is an avid Crowdtapper. She says it is one of her favorites. She signs in a couple of times a month to do some quick surveys and earns a $5 Amazon.com gift card. She has a friend that has had a ton of success with Crowdtap, and even was given free Puma workout gear as a part of a survey. Read about her Crowdtap experience here. 
From what I have read, the more thoughtful and honest the feedback on surverys, the greater chance you have to earn bigger gift cards and samples. 

Pros:
You don't have to sign in every day or anything like that. It is a go-at-your-own-pace program. 
You don't have to have a smartphone. This is something you can do from a computer or tablet.
The surveys (called "Quick Hits" I think) aren't long and time-consuming. You can pick and choose what you want to answer. 

Cons:
It seems like the rewards are somewhat based on luck. You may or may not get picked for the good ones.

SavingStar Healthy Offer - Lettuce

This week's SavingStar Healthy Offer is 20% back on your purchase of loose lettuce. 

The fine print reads: Only valid on a single purchase of loose, unwrapped lettuce. Valid on purchases up to $10 
(maximum $2 reward). Offer valid from 4/8/14-4/14/14.  This offer is not eligible on produce weighed and tagged 
using a produce scale prior to checkout.


So according to this, bunches of green leaf or romaine would work, but not wrapped heads of 

lettuce.

Cheap Razors at Walgreens!

I have been waiting patiently for a good deal on razors and this week my patience paid off! I just got ALL of these disposable razors for $9.46 or about $2.37 per pack ($0.63 per razor).

It was really easy. Just find the most recent Smart Source coupon insert from the Standard Journal or Post Register and cut out both of the $3.00 off of 1 pack of Bic Disposable Razor coupons. There is one for the men's razor brands and one for the women's razor brands.  (I had two inserts so I ended up with 4 coupons total)

Walgreens currently has the Bic Disposable Razors on sale: BOGO 50% off. (Sale through 4/12) The packs of razors seemed to start at $6.49 and go up from there. Buy two packs and use two coupons to take $6.00 off your total.

If you don't have a Smart Source coupon insert, you can still grab a Sunday newspaper at Walgreens, Kmart, Walmart, or Albertsons (while supplies last... Kmart and Walgreens still had some this morning). Just go and clip the coupons, then pay for the newspaper and razors all in the same transaction. You can bring your own scissors, but I usually ask if they have some at the register because I don't like having scissors in my purse.


Example scenario:

Buy 2 packs of Bic Disposable Razors (one Soleil - women's, and one Flex 4 - men's)
Regular: $6.49 and $7.49 respectively
BOGO 1/2 off, so: $10.74 for both
Coupons: $3/1 Bic Soleil Disposable Razor (SS 4/6) AND $3/1 Bic Flex 4, Bic Flex 3, Bic Comfort 3 Advance, Bic Hybrid Advance 3 or Bic Hybrid Advance 4 Razor (SS 4/6)
Makes it: $4.74 total, so $2.37 each!!


There is also a $2/1 Bic Soleil Glow Disposable Razor coupon here that you should be able to print twice from one computer. The deal wouldn't be quite as good though.

**NOTE: If they are out of razors when you are there, Walgreens does offer rainchecks. Just ask the cashier at checkout. Or, try again on Saturday evening (they get new stock every Saturday).
